Ted and Cindy Kopacek Garden

Ted & Cindy Kopacek bought property on Lake Edward 15 years ago tearing down an old house and clearing the land for a year before building their house. They hand picked and hauled over 150 ton of boulders to create their gardens and water features. The front yard has two water features, including a one ton bubbling boulder surrounded by lots of sun loving perennials. The wooded back yard has 125 feet of waterfalls and ponds with several shade loving perennials, together with 119 varieties of hosta.

Ted and Cindy lost all four of their parents within three years and have created memory gardens in their honor. The Mom's memorial garden was featured on Channel 11 "Grow with Kare" for Mother’s Day last year. Their gardens have also been in Garden Gate magazine and MidWest Home & Garden magazine. They enjoy sharing the fruits of their labor and have been on a number of garden tours.
