2008 MHS Garden Tour & Silent Auction
Saturday,
June 21st
Rum River
Central Regional Park, Ramsey, MN
Going
once, GOING TWICE…SOLD on this years garden tour & silent
auction! The tour will take
place in the beautiful northern suburb of Ramsey where four fabulous
gardens have been selected for your enjoyment and exploration.
The gardens anticipating your arrival include:
Jim
and Sharon Bailey’s transition and expansion
from sun-loving plants to bountiful shade-loving gardens through
experimentation.
Myk
and Daryle Hamlin’s hosta haven, an ongoing
adventure with ever changing sun and shade conditions, highlighting H. ‘Squash
Casserole.’
Stephen
and Pam Upton’s renovation from a swimming
pool into an outdoor living space with a water garden, beautiful
birds and butterflies.
James
and Jill Schultz’s attractive wooded
landscape along the winding Rum River emerging with texture
from hostas and ferns.
Following
the tour tradition, we will embark on our trip through the gardens,
return to the picnic pavilion to begin the auctions and enjoy
lunch. The auctions will be anything but silent once people see
the spectacular items up for bid. As always, a few items will
remain unseen as they are kept hidden inside the mystery bag.
An exciting addition to this year’s event is a raffle.
Raffle items include, but are not limited to plants, garden art,
gift certificates, and books.
A
$25.00 registration includes
a coach bus tour to four gardens offering refreshments, catered
box lunch and beverage, and a raffle ticket. This event is open
to all members and their guests. Space is limited so register
now! Deadline is June 16th.
Garden
tour attendants will be awaiting your arrival at the park gatehouse.
Tour placards will lead you to the parking area adjacent to the
picnic pavilion. Check-in begins at 7:30am with buses departing
at 8:00am. See you on the bus!
