Cecil has had a very long and diversified horticultural career.  He obtained a B.S. in Horticulture from Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas, while supervising the University’s greenhouses.  He worked in a large retail/landscape operation in Arlington, Texas as an Assistant Manager in all departments.  He furthered his career at ESCO Distributing for over 10 years, qualifying for the Top 5 Salesmen Club for 9 of those years, selling Scotts Products.  When the company sold, he returned to the greenhouse industry, representing Carl Pool Products as an expert in Plant Nutrition and was instrumental in several patents for the company.  Finally, upon joining the Scotts Company, Cecil has implemented several programs in Sales and has obtained the prestigious Sales Leadership Award in the Scotts-Ortho Business Group.  Now he is the Manager of Technical and Visual Training Materials and Senior Trainer for the Scotts Training Institute in Marysville, Ohio. He is in charge of the Scotts Archive System, printed materials, the Scotts eLearning System, STI website and Scotts Soil Testing for Homeowners Program.  Cecil has been in the horticultural field for over 39 years.
